I loved this story. By the end I wanted more! I need a novella that tells me what happens with several of the characters. Henry is one of my favorite people… there’s so many good characters and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

So many books start out so dry. They do an intense amount of character building and make you wait pages and pages before there's anything interesting. This book doesn't do that. It starts out punching you in the gut! Those are my favorite kind of post-apocalyptic books. The ones that throw you in the mix as soon as you start reading!

What an amazing story! This rewrite of a short story expounds on the circumstances that led the people to living underground and their living conditions there. The author does a tremendous job in bringing the characters from the short story into the book and adding more as the story deepens. I loved learning more about their struggles underground and their determination to find a way out. It’s a fantastic read filled with great character building and excitement with each turn of a page.

I am a huge fan of dystopian and apocalyptic stories. I am finding that the more I read them, they are starting to sound the same. The Year of The Reckoning proved to be different which was like a breath of fresh air. The story kept me engaged right from the beginning. It was packed full of suspense with enjoyable and engaging characters and a great engrossing plot. The writing quality was good and the story was fast-paced, which I love in a book. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend this book! It definitely got me out of my reading slump!

If you’re a fan of post apocalyptic fiction like Silo, Year of Reckoning is a must read. More than 200 years after a cataclysm, Tobias, Margery, Jack, Henry, and their crew must figure a way out of underground Hooverville before it’s too late. The story is fast paced while still developing the characters. By the middle of the story I felt I was part of the crew and these were my good friends.
